Heather Young Urban Decay's Urbanglow Cream Highlighter, $24. I have never used a cream highlighter before so I was curious about that, but it was the packaging that really won me over. This is silly, but I just love the skull motif. I bought it in "sin", all the shades have curious names like "wicked" and "moonshine"...

I'm all for a healthy glow but I hate glitter or anything remotely resembling it, sorry, but glitter just has no place on one's face! So I was really pleased to find out that this product blends beautifully - it doesn't look glittery at all, unless you want it to (by not blending as much). Well, it's actually a really fine shimmer look, not glittery. You can use it as a highlighter on your eyelids too - and it then makes your eyeliner glide on so easily. I am totally addicted, love this product!!

I think Marc Jacobs' Quilting The Large Single ($625) is a pretty good alternative. The "large" is actually a pretty good medium size at 11" wide by 7-1/2" high. It's got 2 zipper pockets inside and is made in Italy.

It's made with soft, lightweight lambskin leather in a beautiful neutral camel tone.

You can layer this with a cardigan and tights for late Winter into early Spring, and wear it alone when it gets warmer. It's a bit expensive but so versatile and has a pretty classic cut, I think this is a fabulous investment piece!

Ralph Lauren Skull & Bones Lowball Tumblers (set of two), $295

They have a nice heft to them in your hand, as they should, they are 24% lead crystal. The black color is so elegant. They also have a matching decanter... although you're not supposed to leave things in lead crystal decanters due to the leaching, so I guess it would be a very expensive decoration. The decanter is $495! You can see it here.

This may be odd, but I would love to receive these glasses for Valentine's Day... even though skulls seem totally anti-Valentine!

Here is a reasonably priced replica of the engagement ring, done in 14k gold, diamond and sapphire. The diamonds equal 0.35 carats, and the sapphire is 0.85 carats. Obviously this one is a lot smaller than Diana's! But it's beautiful and can be worn by anyone since it's not a typical engagement ring style.

But sometimes you just want to splurge a bit. Here's what I've got my eyes on.

David Yurman Black Onyx Cushion on Point Ring, $795. I have one of his rings in smoky quartz and I just love it. This one would be even more versatile since it's black.

Wolford Lisbon Bodysuit, $220. This is kind of a throw back, but I was reading an interview with Donna Karan in Bazaar's Oct. issue and she mentioned bodysuits. I kind of forgot about them, but they really are great when you don't want the lumpiness of a tucked in shirt. Wolford makes the best, but you certainly pay dearly for it.

Pour La Victoire Irina in Black Nappa Leather, $255. I love this shoe. It has that clompy looking high platform that you see from Yves Saint Laurent but at a much nicer price!

I'm so glad to see Louboutin doing a different heel finally. The thicker heel is in particular better with these 5-1/2 inch heels so you don't kill yourself falling down... a little more stability is a good thing for sure!

The shoe is available for pre-order at Saks now in brown only. Hopefully black will be available also!
